銅と亜鉛の合金は、従来より殺菌する能力があると認められています。
(一社)日本銅センターによると、銅イオンには“殺菌類を死滅させる性質”があるとされ、また、米国自然間保護庁（EPA）は亜鉛を”抗菌性のある物質”として登録しています。
この、銅と亜鉛の合金、いわゆる”真鍮（ブラス）”を面白い製品にできないかと考え、企画をしている商品が「ブリオン（BULL-ION) *商標登録申請中」です。
ブリオンを製品化するにあたり、表面積を大きくとる為には繊維状の物が適正であることから、合金繊維という形をとることと決めました。
この合金繊維を水に接触させることによって安全性の高い亜鉛金属イオンを溶出させ、銅金属イオンと併用し、より安全な殺菌能力を得ることができる点に着目し、様々な商品に応用できるよう、企画・研究を行っています。
